'I feel that queerness is a superpower which can enhance the life of an individual and those around them.'
Keeping the conversation going about Queer life, and amplifying voices of the queer community, including my own through my creative work is my primary objective. I feel that queerness is a superpower which can enhance the life of an individual and those around them. I believe our creativity and life flourishes when our queerness is embraced, and I speak from experience.
I'm the creator and host of Queer I Am, The Podcast. The podcast that celebrates and amplifies voices of the Queer community was launched back in 2022, and is now recording its 6th Season, which will be released in the Summer of 2025. The podcast has been downloaded in over 60 countries, had a live season in 2023 over 8 weeks, featuring 32 incredible voices of the queer community and was filmed in front of a live audience. In that same year, Queer I Am was nominated for an Independent Podcast Award.
In May 2025, my debut book, Do You Believe in Life After Loss? Queer Stories of Loss, Hope and Resilience was published globally via Jessica Kingsley Publishers. This collection of queer experiences of loss, hope and resilience explores different aspects of loss, the challenges of these situations, but also how queerness might help people to navigate change and loss and the opportunities and hope that can arise when healing begins. Exploring experiences of loss in all its forms - from bereavement and relationship breakups to loss of community, safety, and identity - the book considers how queerness might help people to navigate change and loss and asks the question: do you believe in life after loss?
